Centrally located between Greensboro and High Point, Jamestown is a great place to live. Jamestown has a population just over 4,000 and has a suburban/rural character.

The town borders much of High Point Lake, where you can rent boats, canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards. Fishing is allowed with proper permit and license. The High Point City Lake Park features a swimming pool and amusement rides, along with picnic shelters and a miniature golf course.

Jamestown’s rich history is exemplified by several historic structures, including Mendenhall Plantation – built in 1800 – and the McCulloch Gold Mill, which is referred to as Castle McCullough because of its stone construction, cathedral rooms and drawbridge.

The town has a below average cost-of-living and the Piedmont’s temperate location offers mild weather.
